Megan Sheakoski used her teaching background to create a successful blog called Coffee Cups and Crayons that millions of parents and teachers visit each year. Along the way she fell in love with social media and she developed and hosted a monthly parenting series on Google Plus.  She can often be found pinning fun things to do (and recipes she’ll never make) on Pinterest

On today's show, Megan shares what she has learned about getting followers, coming up with content (she does 3-4 posts per week for her blog), and collaborating with others.

Natalie Eckdahl has 3 kids, 2 businesses and 1 husband.  Together with her husband Mark, she founded ScheduleMAX.com, an online scheduling software in 2011 and 18 months ago launched BizChix.com a community and podcast which I was honored to be a guest on recently.  Natalie has built a thriving community around her podcast and website and I'm honored that she joins the show today to talk about building an thriving online community.

Natalie holds an MBA and is a former management consultant.  She loves coaching new podcasters and small business owners, as well as hosting masterminds for her community.

Natalie has interviewed over 180 female entrepreneurs from Shark Tank contestants to Social Media Gurus, and loves to share the insights she has received from those conversations. When she's off duty, Natalie loves to spend time with her family (particularly at the beach) and is a huge fan of dark chocolate and red wine.

Consistency. According to Ross Quintana, it's one of the most important strategies to employ if you want to make connections and develop relationships on any social media platform. He explains that there is no magic secret sauce. The key is to put in the time and keep doing the little things that will lead to big results in the long term.

Ross's company, Social Magnets, helps people to grow influence and targeted audiences with social media management. Social Magnets also helps businesses create smarter strategies to tell their story, stand out, and grow their business.
